Oh My Darlin' Lemon Thyme

From Jimmy's on Broadway and Jimmy's on First

1 oz Peabody Jones vodka

½ oz limoncello

2 oz lemon sour

1 lemon wheel

Sprinkle two teaspoons of the thyme sugar around a saucer. Chill a cocktail glass with ice cubes and some water. After the glass is chilled, dump out the ice water. Now cover the rim of the glass with that beautiful thyme-infused sugar and set it to the side. Muddle the lemon wheel with ice, then add the liquids and shake it, baby. Strain the cocktail into the prepared glass and enjoy!

The thyme sugar is made by putting 1 cup of granulated white sugar into a blender or food processor with one tablespoon of fresh thyme leaves. Pulse the mixture together, shaking the blender as needed to distribute the thyme leaves evenly. The resulting superfine sugar should have a pale green color. Don't be put off by the aroma of the sugar by itself, the intense earthiness of the thyme pairs marvelously with lemon!
