16th Annual Dungeness Crab & Seafood Festival

If it takes more than the festival name to grab you, you're not a true Northwesterner! Who can resist sweet Dungeness crab? Or a 10,000-square-foot tent called Kitsap Bank Crab Central? Especially when it houses an old-fashioned crab feed with whole crabs, fresh corn and cole slaw. Add 14 local and regional restaurants serving crab cakes to halibut tacos to seafood gumbo, along with vegetarian and non-seafood items for real NW folks who don't like seafood. More? The Dungeness Crab & Seafood Festival's 16th annual event takes place over three days-Friday-Sunday October 6-8. Hours are Friday 12:00 p.m.-10 p.m., Saturday 9:30 a.m.-10 p.m., Sunday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. It all takes place at the Port Angeles City Pier right on the downtown waterfront. Russell's Restaurant

The days might be getting shorter and leaves beginning to change, but dinner time at Russell's isn't! Come enjoy the timeless menu or have them cater one of life's biggest moments in your own home. Dunham Cellars

Join the fun at the 8th annual Dunham Days! It's a full weekend of events celebrating harvest in the Walla Walla Valley. Live music on Friday from Whiskey Creek Band, food trucks, and Dunham wines for sale by bottle or glass. Lawn seating, ID required. Special wine tastings on Saturday and Sunday selected by the winemaking team. Sunday brunch catered by Chef Emry Kleck of The Q Wood-Fired Grill and featuring Dunham Riesling Mimosas. $20/person, RSVP required. Coming up is Harvest Lunch with Saffron Mediterranean Kitchen, and a winemaker dinner series with Assaggio Ristorante and Andrae's Kitchen, Lisa Dupar's Pomegranate Bistro, and Columbia Hospitality.

Dunham Cellars is located at 150 E Boeing Ave in Walla Walla. Dunham Days! runs from Friday, August 25 through Sunday, August 27. Agave Cocina & Cantina

Refreshing beverages are never wrong, but in summer they're indispensable. At Agave, you know they're good: together with their contemporary cuisine, Agave was voted Best Mexican by Redmond residents. At Agave Kent Station, you can sip and savor right next to the stage for free summer concerts at lunch and dinner. Summer drinks include Raspberry Lime Mojito, Grapefruit No Time Loser, Passion Fruit & Blood Orange Smoky Boat, Lemon Ginger Spanish Side Car, Lime Caipirinha, and the Agave Old Fashioned. Blu Sardinia

Summer in Sardinia is unforgettable. B & E Meats at James Beard Foundation Taste America in Seattle

Now in its 5th year, Taste America brings an All Star Chef together with a Local Chef Star to 10 cities, and Seattle is one of them. Chef Ashley Christensen from North Carolina will join Seattle's Matt Dillon, both James Beard Medalists, for a four-course delectable meal. Taste of Tulalip All-American Mash Up

Tulalip Resort Casino Sommelier Tom Thompson invites whiskey worshippers and novices to the first annual Taste of Tulalip All-American Mash Up: a day of Southern-inspired food, fun, entertainment, and exceptional whiskies. Multiple food stations will serve creations from America's legendary whiskey regions, such as Whiskey Peach BBQ Chicken, Catfish Ceviche, Swine Apple Beef Skewers, and Boozie Rainier Cherries. Guests may try a dram (a shot of the kind of whiskey you're not supposed to shoot) from over 36 different top-notch, barrel-aged American whiskies (Whistle Pig, Pappy Van Winkle, Old Forrester's Birthday Bourbon), and create their own food and whiskey pairings.
