Spring has a way of making everything better. Who doesn't smile more and enjoy life around them when the sun is peeking out and temperatures rise? Here are some ways to ramp up the fun.

Lunchbox Laboratory

Craving the crazy burgers and beverages of Lunchbox Lab but you're at Green Lake? Well, life has just dealt you a good hand: Lunchbox Lab is now right across from the lake. Award-winning American Kobe burgers, Snoqualmie Ice Cream shakes (spike it!), organic buns, handcrafted salts and sauces, and appetizers. It's everything your mouth has been demanding. There's patio seating, perfect for watching other people work out at the lake while you kick back and enjoy life your way. Want it bad, but can't make it in? Think corporate catering and share the fun with coworkers. Happy hour! Life is good.

Olympic Peninsula Wine & Cheese Tour

It's time for the Northwest Wine, Cider and Cheese Tour! A collaboration of nine award-winning wineries and cideries located in the Olympic Peninsula towns of Port Angeles, Sequim, Port Townsend, Nordland (Marrowstone Island) and Chimacum invite you to sample the season's new wine releases specially paired with local artisan cheeses. Each venue has a unique character and flavor with a common warm hospitality. Enjoy a scenic drive to this beautiful region of our state and celebrate the flavors of spring! Participating venues include Harbinger, Camaraderie, Olympic Cellars, Wind Rose, Fairwinds, Port Townsend Vineyards (new), Eaglemount, Marrowstone, and Finnriver. Make plans now!

The self-guided wine/cider tour takes place on April 28 & 29, 11am to 5pm. Advance online tickets are $35, or $40 at the door. Price includes wine, cider and cheese tasting at all nine locations plus a commemorative wine glass.

Ballard Pizza Company

Are there any happier words than "Pizza party!"??? Who wouldn't run in that direction? At Ballard Pizza's Back Room, you can up the fun with a Netflix screening with friends, video game matches, movie viewing nights. It's like being at home, only better. Use their back room to plan a wedding dinner, organize a work happy hour, or lunch for your favorite kids' teams! Everyone loves Ballard Pizza. The Back Room seats up to 40 with standing room for 50, is presentation-ready, and all-ages friendly. It's a flexible space-make it your own!

B & E Meats and Seafood

It's baseball season and the National Hot Dog and Sausage Council (you knew there had to be one) is estimating baseball fans will consume more than 19 million hot dogs and 4.6 million sausages this season. B & E wants Northwest fans to up that number by home-grilling B & E dogs, brats, and sausages (triple play!). When you've got the best neighborhood butcher nearby, invite your friends and family over to watch the game and savor American classics. Order ahead or drop in and pick your favorites. It's a home run you can count on.

Collections Café

Located at Chihuly Garden and Glass in the heart of Seattle Center, Collections Cafe offers artistically inspired dishes like Dungeness Crab Benny, Beecher’s Cheese Curds and Ancient Grains Veggie Burger created with fresh ingredients sourced from artisans that call the great Pacific Northwest home. Queen Anne Olive Oil Company

One of the best ways to eat well is to use fresh extra virgin olive oil and real balsamic vinegar. Healthy, yes, and the flavors they add will have you loving your spring menu. Queen Anne Olive Oil Company imports the freshest EVOO from around the world. Grapes are crushed immediately after harvest and no other oils are ever added. Balsamics have no added color, sugar, or artificial thickeners. These are the real deal. And the best thing is you can walk into the store and taste them all, ask questions, and ensure you get just what you want.

Petite Galerie

Petite Galerie is a new brasserie from Chef-Owner Rob Sevcik, former chef de cuisine at Rover's and Loulay. Located in Madison Valley, the restaurant serves seasonal dishes for lunch and dinner with a focus on excellent technique and ingredients showcasing French-influenced New American cuisine. The menu is divided into four segments: Land (meat), Sea (seafood), Earth (veggies) and Heaven (sweets) with vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options available. Look for dishes like Pan Seared Sea Scallop with sweet pea flan and manila clam butter. A lovely private dining room for 10 guests can also be reserved for lunch or dinner.

Revolve True Food and Wine Bar

If you think healthy food isn't delicious food, you haven't been to Revolve. Right now, the first Pacific halibut of the season is in, and they are serving it with sautéed nettles, hedgehog mushrooms, and lemon pan sauce (photo). If halibut isn't your thing (what???), you can also get the fresh salmon with nettles and wild mushrooms. Bottom line, you can't lose. Don't forget that it's Seattle Restaurant Week. If you've been wanting to get to Revolve, take this opportunity to grab a deal at lunch or dinner.
