Sur la table

Started in Seattle in 1972, the first store opened in a former speakeasy and barber shop (so Seattle), and moved into its present location at Pike Place Market in 1980. Over the years, the brand has spread to over 100 stores nationally, with a website and catalog, but it's heart, of course, is here. As always, Sur la table is on the cutting edge, carrying what serious (and not so serious) cooks need to create their masterpieces. With premium-quality goods for the kitchen and table, you'll find what you need and want, along with great advice and knowledge from the staff, and classes in Kirkland.

Find Sur la table at 84 Pine Street in the Pike Place Market, 206-448-2244, 9 a.m.-6:30 p.m., and 90 Central Way in Kirkland, 425-827-1311, Monday-Saturday 10 a.m.-9 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m.-7 p.m. www.surlatable.com
