Seattle Wine and Food Experience

February 21-24, 2019

That's right - your favorite event is returning, this time for four days of unique feasting and fest-ing. Over those four days, there will be more than 275 wine brands, craft brewers, cider makers, distillers and chefs participating. For locals, it's an incredible taste of home; for visitors it's an amazing way to experience the Northwest's diversity of flavors. Mostly, it's just really fun.

It kicks off on Thursday, February 21, at Sodo Park with Comfort. As the name suggests, you'll be experiencing Seattle's best feel-good foods and craft beer, cider and spirits. We're talking mac and cheese to burgers to fried chicken. Local gastropubs and taverns will provide the sweet and savory bites.

On Friday, February 22, Pop! Bubbles & Seafood returns, this year at The Sanctuary in downtown Seattle (you will love this space). It's all about Pacific Northwest sustainable seafood used in dishes created by great local chefs. Oysters, salmon, crab and more. To pair, there will be over 30 global sparkling wines including US West Coast, Spanish cava, French Champagne and Italian Prosecco. In addition, there will be seafood-friendly whites and reserve reds.

The big boy Grand Tasting happens on Saturday, February 23, with more than 30 chefs, 100 wineries, and dozens of beer, spirit, and specialty food purveyors. Seattle Magazine puts this event on and this year they are adding a Seattle Magazine Lounge where you will taste a selection of the '100 Best Things to Eat in Seattle' part of their February issue. You'll also get to taste winners of the annual Washington Wine and Beer Awards. The Grand Event takes place at Bell Harbor International Conference Center.

Topping off the four days is a new event called Sunday Supper, a down-home name that might lead you to an incorrect conclusion. It's actually a high-end prix fixe, multi-course meal with wine and cocktail pairings. A curated list of Seattle's top chefs will each serve a course. Then they will hang around to mix and mingle with guests at the Chefs After Party, listening to music and having late-night snacks.

In a perfect world, you would want to attend each of these events. They're all unique and fun. If you have the time and money, your best bet is the SWFE Weekend Pass package that includes the first three events. Sunday Supper stands alone.

Northwest Harvest, Washington state's only non-profit food bank distributor is the event's beneficiary. Through their network, they provide more than two million meals each month. Your event attendance helps them continue their mission.

Important to know is that this is a 21 and older event and everyone will need to have a valid I.D. to enter any of the events.

The SWFE Weekend Pass package includes tickets to Comfort, Pop! Bubbles and Seafood, and a VIP ticket for the Grand Tasting ($250). Sunday Supper is not included in the weekend pass.
