General Manager @ Lucier Restaurant      
Portland’s newest, and most elegant restaurant is now accepting applications to join their management team. Lucier pushes the culinary and architectural boundaries of Portland’s upscale dining scene. Providing a multi‐sensory culinary experience that melds sophisticated modern European cuisine with contemporary design, Lucier occupies an unfilled niche in an increasingly epicurean city. Housed in a 7,600‐square‐foot steel‐and‐glass structure, the 100‐seat restaurant boasts an extensive, world‐class (1850 labels) 18,000‐bottle list with a special section devoted exclusively to vintage champagne. Staffed by a team of seasoned restaurant and service professionals from around the U.S. who have been hand‐picked from the nation’s finest dining establishments, Lucier promises to be a culinary destination.  Requirements: We are looking for an experienced General Manager to work in tandem with the Wine Director to lead Lucier to becoming the first restaurant in Oregon to receive the Grand Award. This is an incredible opportunity to be part of a one-of-a kind high-end destination restaurant. The position will involve managing the whole array of operational functions including financial success of the restaurant, human resources and staffing, operations, marketing, safety, and facilities. To be considered you should have: • 4-8 years experience as GM in fine dining restaurant • Experience with the captain system of serving • Strong coaching and training skills • A proven track record of success in operations, including meeting and/or exceeding labor costs • Strong financial sense and ability to effectively manage P&L • Demonstrable knowledge of wines (Level 2 Sommelier knowledge or better desired).
