Ray's Boathouse, Café and Catering

206-789-3770
6049 Seaview Ave NW   Seattle    Ballard

Ray's is a Seattle icon and has been for 40 years. Now they've remodeled and rebranded to become the icon for the next 40 years. The view never changes, but now there are bars on both levels taking full advantage. Take a look at the extensive wine list (we suggest doing more than just looking). They take their water location seriously and the menu reflects that connection. Get reacquainted!

Salty's on Alki

206-937-1600
1936 Harbor Ave   Seattle    West Seattle

The view can't be beat, rain or shine, over the water toward downtown Seattle and enjoy fresh seafood and steaks. Flexible banquet facilities. Salty's handles large volumes of guests better than almost anyone--seafood is always moist and tender. Their nearly world-famous brunch now takes place both Saturday and Sunday.

Paragon Bar and Grill

Commandeered from the franchise by the general manager and chef, the Paragon now controls it's own destiny and serves up some tasty dishes. A social gathering place for locals and travelers alike, the Paragon features lunch dishes too and has live music on the weekends. Also known as the Lodge at Queen Anne, it's where locals go on snow days when it's impossible to drive a vehicle down the hill to work.

Cuisine: Northwest

Specializing in: Music, Cocktails, Late Night, Happy Hour

SkyCity @ the Space Needle

206-443-9800
400 Broad St   Seattle    Queen Anne (Lower)

CLOSED FOR REMODEL The Space Needle provides some excellent banquet rooms on the lower area that have 360-degree views, along with the views from the top. Look for appetizers like pecan-crusted artisan goat cheese and entrees like cedar-wrapped King crab legs. As with most "touristy" destinations, bring your wallet. Even locals need to return every so often.

Cuisine: American, Northwest

Specializing in: Banquet

Jimmy's on Broadway

206-204-1188
1100 Broadway   Seattle    Capitol Hill

Silver Cloud has done well with their Jimmy's concept on First Avenue near the stadiums and have, so they've transferred it to their Capitol Hill location at Broadway and Madison. The menu changes frequently, but you can count on a casual menu of burgers, fish and chips and onion rings. Full bar.

Cuisine: American

Specializing in: Pub Grub, Burgers, Happy Hour

Petra Mediterranean Bistro

206-728-5389
2501 4th Ave   Seattle    Belltown

A tree-lined street filled with shops and businesses includes Petra, a bistro filled with fresh and tasty items. Some dishes are more formal, some are more homestyle and all are done with care. The interior is filled with warm colors and comfortable touches. A nice place to enjoy some good food.

The Capital Grille

206-382-0900
1301 Fourth Ave   Seattle    Downtown

It's Seattle's first Capital Grille, although there are many across the US (primarily East Coast). Despite being a chain, they use local ingredients and "the freshest seafood Seattle has to offer." Dry aged steaks are their claim to fame. Atmosphere-wise, it's got a lot of dark wood and dim lighting, but is more of a jazzy, younger place than a rat pack place. There's a million niches in the world. Full bar, lots of wine choice.

Cuisine: American

Specializing in: Steak, Cocktails, Banquet (up to 30), Wine

Nell's

206-524-4044
6804 E Green Lake Wy N   Seattle    Green Lake

Nell's offers a list of healthy a la carte options as well as lush 5-course meals. It's a lovely spot for a special meal, yet many customers come back frequently, like it's a casual neighborhood spot. Fine meals followed by great desserts. Nice wine list.

LloydMartin

206-420-7602
1525 Queen Anne Ave N   Seattle    Queen Anne (Upper)

Owner/Chef Sam Crannel (Quinn's, 5 Corner Market) is making slightly-larger-than-tasting portions of an ever-changing number of dishes with big flavors. You may never know what will be on the menu, but there's a good chance you'll like it. Risotto, pheasant, quail, soup, stew. Pair it with a nice wine you’re good to go.

Cuisine: Northwest

Specializing in: Eclectic

Eastlake Bar & Grill

206-957-7777
2947 Eastlake Ave E   Seattle    Eastlake

A "cousin" to the Greenlake Bar & Grill, the Eastlake takes advantage of the lake view with a nice big deck and large windows. The concept is relaxed neighborhood hangout with good food. Feel free to take the family.

Georgian Room

206-621-7889
411 University St   Seattle    Downtown

Dining in this incredibly beautiful room is always a treat. Dishes have a Northwest flair and the wine list takes some serious perusing. In the past, you needed a suit and tie to enter. No so any longer. But dress up anyway so you match the surroundings.

Greenlake Bar & Grill

206-729-6179
7200 E Greenlake Wy N   Seattle    Green Lake

This neighborhood bar and grill not only brings in the neighbors but also the wide array of folks visiting Green Lake's paths and fields. Sports TV in the bar, yet a welcome place for the neighbors' kids. Good, solid food. Full bar.
