FOX Sports Grill
206-340-1369
1522 6th Ave,
Seattle
Downtown
Lots of "natural" wonders here--a couple of waterfalls and some rock walls. Upstairs inside the entrance are more tables with ringside seats for watching sidewalk sports as well as those on TV. Downstairs the bar/dining area has several large screen TVs and numerous small screens around the room--can't miss a moment of FOX! A separate non-blaring TV dining room (of course there is a TV there, it's just turned down a bit) is a nice change of pace. The wine room is great for a private party. Chicken strips, prime rib dips, steaks and a fresh sheet plus some nice desserts are what to expect from the menu. Tasty large salads, also. Breakfast is available on weekends until 2 p .m. Full bar.

13 Coins Restaurant

18000 Pacific Hwy S,
Seatac
Airport
The 70s look is still there, but it's fun to visit and watch the cooks from your high-backed counter seat. Menu items aren't wildly original. They're tasty, but you pay a high price. Serving sizes are shrinking--they used to be almost too big, now it doesn't seem like much of a deal.

206-324-6406
405 15h Ave E,
Seattle
Capitol Hill
Appetizers and entree choices range from fairly typical (artichoke and Dungeness crab dip, vegie lasagne) to unusual (grilled Cuban prawns, Thai curry roast pork). The bar is limited to about 10 counter seats and a couple small tables, one near the fireplace. The rest of the room is filled with booths. The room feels fairly warm despite the incredibly high ceilings (with cook chandeliers), but the noise level is almost unbearable.
Specializing in
Eclectic, Brunch (weekends). |
