Dark wood, a roaring fire and a fabulous view make this a place to head for when you're in Oregon (it's 22 miles from Portland in the Columbia River Gorge). It's a Nationally Registered Oregon Landmark built in 1924 that still has the original chandeliers and wall sconces. Add to that an enticing menus (burger, steaks, rack of lamb) and a large wine list and you have a destination restaurant. You can also stay at the Inn, but whether sleeping or dining, reservations are in order.
